New Delhi, Dec. 23 -- The second Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar ceremony, held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday, saw the posthumous conferment of the Rashtriya Vigyan Ratna Puraskar 2025 on eminent astrophysicist Prof Jayant Vishnu Narlikar for lifetime achievement.
The CSIR-led Aroma Mission received the Rashtriya Vigyan Team Puraskar 2025 for its role in driving India's 'Purple Revolution'.
President Droupadi Murmu presented the awards to 24 scientists and innovators across disciplines in the presence of union Minister of Science and Technology Jitendra Singh. The Rashtriya Vigyan Puruskars were instituted by the Centre last year as part of a revamped national science awards framework.
