Chandigarh, Nov. 27 -- A fresh development has emerged in the disproportionate assets case involving former Punjab minister and Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia.
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau has informed a Special Court in Mohali that Section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) has now been added to the case. Majithia, who has been in custody since June 25, remains lodged in jail, while his brother-in-law, Gajpat Singh Grewal, has already been named as an accused. The Vigilance has also obtained arrest warrants against Grewal, valid until November 29.
