Hanoi, July 5 -- Vietnam recorded a trade surplus of $7.63 billion in the first half of this year, the National Statistics Office said on Saturday. The country's total import-export turnover reached $432.03 billion during the cited period, marking a year-on-year increase of 16.1%.
Exports rose by 14.4%, while imports surged by 17.9% compared to the same period last year.
Nine export items reported a turnover of over $5 billion, including computers, electronic components, textiles, leather products and timber.
