Tirumala, Sept. 25 -- Vice President of India CP Radhakrishnan, accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, offered prayers in the of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple here today.
Upon his arrival at the Mahadwaram of the temple, the Vice-President was accorded the traditional Isthikaphal welcome by the temple priests, amidst chanting of Vedic mantras.
Later, the Vice President, along with his family, and the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, offered prayers in the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple.
After darshan, the protocol dignitary was offered Vedaseervachanam in Ranganayakula Mandapam by the Vedic scholars.
