Hyderabad, Feb. 16 -- Veteran actress and producer Chittajallu Krishnaveni passed away at her residence in Film Nagar, Hyderabad, on Sunday morning.

She was 102.

Born on December 24, 1921, in Pangidi, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, Krishnaveni began her artistic journey as a drama performer before transitioning to films.

She made her cinematic debut as a child artist in the 1936 film Sati Anasuya. After relocating to Chennai with her family, she received numerous acting opportunities in both Telugu and Tamil cinema.
