Springfield (Illinois), Jan. 4 -- Dean Williams, an accomplished still and set photographer whose work spanned more than 160 motion pictures, including "Batman Returns", "Legally Blonde 2" and "Poltergeist III", has died.
The news was confirmed by the Central Illinois Film Commission (CIFC), an organisation he founded in 2005 to nurture and promote filmmaking in the region.
"It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dean Williams of Springfield, Illinois - a visionary, advocate, and cornerstone of the Central Illinois film and creative community," the organisation wrote in a statement.
