Mumbai, Jan. 11 -- Mumbai's political equations witnessed a significant shift on Sunday with former legislator Dagdu Sakpal, a long term loyalist of the Thackeray family, aligning himself with the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde.
The move is being viewed as a notable setback for the Shiv Sena (UBT) headed by Uddhav Thackeray, particularly in the context of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections slated on January 15.
