New Delhi, Sept. 8 -- Sankarshan Thakur, distinguished journalist and editor, died here today, his family said.
He was 63.
He was admitted to a hospital in Gurugram and had undergone surgery recently.
He leaves behind a legacy of incisive reporting and editorial excellence.
Thakur was widely respected for his fearless commentary and commitment to truth. Known for his sharp political insight and evocative writing, he served as the national affairs editor at The Telegraph and was appointed its editor in 2023.
