Ranchi, Aug. 3 -- Veteran journalist Harinarayan Singh has passed away in Ranchi, triggering an outpouring of grief across the media fraternity, political circles, and civil society.
He was known for his fearless reporting, editorial insight and unwavering commitment to public interest journalism.
Governor Santosh Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed deep sorrow over his demise, describing Singh as a journalist whose work reflected the voice of the people and the concerns of the marginalised.
Singh's mortal remains were taken from his residence in Kokar to the Ranchi Press Club, where members of the media and other dignitaries paid their respects. The final rites were performed at Harmu Mukti Dham in the afternoon.
