Chennai, Aug. 24 -- Veteran CPI Leader, and freedom fighter R Nallakannau,turned 100 recently, was admitted to a priate hospital after he suffered a headinjury following a fall at his residence.

A statement from Venkateswara Hospitals Managing Director Dr Su.Thillai Vallaltoday said he was admitted to the hospital on August 22 for a head injury.

Dcotors took scan and applied stitches and was being treated at the ICU.

Having crossed 100 years and due to old age, he was facing other issues andrequired treatment. For that the hospital, has formed a special team comprisingneuro, lung and cardiac experts and was treating the senior most Communistleader at the ICU.
