Kolkata, Aug. 13 -- Veteran Bollywood actress, Bharathanatyam dancer, Carnatic singer, dance choreographer and parliamentarian Vyjayanthimala turned 83 on Tuesday.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished her on the occasion.
"Wishing you a very happy birthday, Vyjayanthimala ji," Ms Banerjee posted on her social networking page.
State Tourism Minister Gautam Deb in a tweet massage said, "Happy Birthday, eminent dancer and actress Vyjayanthimala ji."
Renowned Bhajan and Ghazal Singer Anup Jalota tweeted, "Most iconic dancer and first lady superstar of the nation, many happy returns of the day Vyjayanthimala Ji. May God bless you."
