Hyderabad, July 13 -- Legendary Telugu actor Kota Srinivasa Rao passed away in the early hours of Sunday at his residence in Filmnagar, Hyderabad.

Rao, 83 was ailing for some time. His death marks the end of an era in Indian cinema, particularly in the Telugu film industry, where he left an indelible mark with his versatile performances spanning over four decades.

Born on July 10, 1942, in Kankipadu, Krishna district, Kota Srinivasa Rao developed a keen interest in drama from a young age.
