Nagpur, Feb. 8 -- NITI Aayog member and former DRDO Director General VK Saraswat on Sunday underlined the urgent need for greater venture capital participation in India's defence startup ecosystem, saying innovative domestic firms have made significant progress but require stronger financial backing to scale up.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the Advantage Vidarbha-2026 Business Conclave and Investment Summit in Nagpur, Saraswat said government policies have created a conducive environment for defence startups, but private investors must step up support to sustain their growth trajectory.
