Caracas, May 10 -- A hydrocarbon spill originating from Trinidad and Tobago has affected the Gulf of Paria as well as coastal areas of Venezuela, according to an announcement by the Venezuelan government today.
"The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its concern to the international community regarding the hydrocarbon spill originating from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, which has caused serious environmental damage in the Gulf of Paria and along the coastal areas of the states of Sucre and Delta Amacuro," Foreign Minister Yvan Gil said in a statement posted on Telegram.
