Imphal, Aug. 17 -- In two separate operations yesterday, Manipur Police and Security Forces apprehended a vehicle lifter and an active militant in Thoubal and Imphal West districts, respectively.
Manipur Police arrested a vehicle lifter identified as Md. Nawas Khan of Tentha Makha Sangaiyumpham Mairenkhun, Thoubal district. He was apprehended in the vicinity of District Hospital, under Thoubal Police Station. During the operation, a stolen two-wheeler was recovered from his possession.
Security Forces also arrested an active member of a proscribed outfit.
