Mumbai, Jan. 8 -- Vedanta Group chairman Anil Agarwal's son Agnivesh Agarwal passed away in the United States at the age of 49. He was injured in a skiing accident in the US, according to an official statement issued on Thursday.

Agnivesh was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York after the accident, where he died after a cardiac arrest.

Tweeting the details on his X account, Vedanta chairman Anil Agarwal wrote, "Following a skiing accident in the US, he was recovering well in Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.
