Bhubaneswar, March 11 -- Vedanta Aluminium, through its CSR initiative, has unveiled Vedamrit Jibika Farmer Producer Company, introducing "Vedamrit , 100 percent Pure Honey" to boost farmer livelihoods while promoting sustainable agriculture and biodiversity.
With this launch, Vedanta Aluminium has established the largest honey Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in Eastern India.
In the first phase, over 500 farmers have received bee boxes after undergoing capacity-building training. Each honeybee box is projected to provide an additional annual income of around Rs. 16,000, offering a stable supplementary livelihood to rural households.
