Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 19 -- Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly VD Satheesan has appealed to social media major Meta, urging it not to remove links to the parody song "Pottiye Kettiye" from its platforms, contending that any such action without a court order would violate fundamental rights.

In a letter addressed to Meta, he referred to reports that the Kerala Police had approached platforms operated by the company seeking the removal of links to the song, which has been widely circulated online in connection with the alleged gold theft at the Sabarimala temple.

He also noted that the Thiruvananthapuram Cyber Police has registered a case concerning the creation and circulation of the song.
