Mexicop City, Dec. 9 -- Necaxa has named Uruguay's Martin Varini as its manager for the 2026 Liga MX season, the club said.
Varini, 34, replaces Argentina's Fernando Gago, who was sacked in November after the team's failure to reach the 2025 Apertura tournament playoffs.
"Hello Rayos, I'm already here to immediately begin a new tournament. We're going all in," Varini said in a video posted on Necaxa's official website.
