Varanasi, Dec. 25 -- Manduadih police achieved a major success on Thursday when they intercepted a suspicious white Ertiga car near Lahartara Crossing. Acting swiftly, Outpost In-charge Rahul Singh overtook and stopped the vehicle, causing a brief commotion in the area.
During a thorough search of the car, police recovered nearly one kilogram of yellow-colored powder wrapped in newspaper and hidden under the seat. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 57-year-old Laxmi Narayan Upadhyay, a resident of Ganeshpur in Bhadohi district, was immediately taken into custody.
