Lucknow, Sept. 17 -- A 50-year-old van driver died by suicide by jumping in front of a train in Nighoan. The incident occurred near Mastipur village this morning, leaving the local community and the deceased's family in shock.
The victim, Bharatlal Gupta, earned a livelihood by driving a private van to support his family.
According to his wife, Gayatri, Bharatlal left home around 6:00 AM, saying he was going to meet a lawyer. However, the family soon received news that his body had been found near a railway track close to Mastipur village.
Officials from the local police station and the Government Railway Police (GRP) arrived at the spot and initiated a preliminary investigation. The body was sent for postmortem examination.
