Jammu, Nov. 18 -- As part of its continued focus on safety preparedness and disaster management along the Yatra track, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive fire safety awareness drive and mock drills at the Tarakote and Banganga Sectors.
Under the directions of the Chief Executive Officer, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, an official communique said that the drills were organised to enhance the efficiency, coordination, and on-ground response of all concerned units in the event of a fire emergency. The awareness sessions included demonstrations on the use of fire extinguishers, methods of fire containment, evacuation procedures and immediate steps to minimize potential damage to life and property.
