Kalaburagi, March 5 -- Indian players Vaishnavi Adkar and Ankita Raina delivered dominant performances to advance to the quarterfinals of the women's singles at the ITF W35 Kalaburagi tournament at Chandrashekhar Patil Stadium on Thursday.
Third seed Adkar registered a commanding 6-2, 6-0 victory over Anna Siedysheva. The match began with both players holding serve comfortably before Adkar stepped up the pressure in the sixth game with sharp returns to create three break points.
