Chennai, March 20 -- City based pure play water technology company VA TECH WABAG (WABAG), today said it has secured a consortium award of a 'Large' order from United Water Supply Company of Georgia LLC (UWSCG).
WABAG classifies a `large' order as anything between Rs.250 crore and Rs.600 crore.
The order is for the construction of a 19 million litres per day (MLD) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Georgia.
Funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB), the project involves the development of a state-of-the-art wastewater and sludge treatment facility at Kutaisi, the third-largest city in Georgia, the company said.
The 19 MLD WWTP is designed for future expansion up to a capacity of 56 MLD.
