Aizawl, Feb. 27 -- V Zirsanga was sworn in as the new Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) on Thursday at the council hall in Lawngtlai town, marking his second term in the current tenure of the council. The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner Cheemala Siva Gopal Reddy.
Zirsanga's appointment holds significance as it marks the first time that the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM), which is in power in the state, has formed an executive committee in the LADC. He becomes the fourth CEM to hold office in this term.
