Maharajganj, Nov. 1 -- In a startling incident, authorities have arrested a woman from Uzbekistan for allegedly trying to enter India without a valid visa through the Indo-Nepal border in the Sonauli area of the district, officials said today.
According to Immigration Department Investigation Officer Pramod Kumar Dubey, the woman, identified as Ummida Joirava (36), was apprehended on Friday evening during a routine inspection as she was entering India from Nepal. Upon verification, it was found that she held a valid Uzbek passport but did not possess an Indian visa.
