Dehradun, Dec. 22 -- Man-animal conflict in Uttarakhand hills is going unabated as a bear today took away a school child from the classroom in its second attack at same school.
Although the child was saved with swift action by the school teachers and other students, incident has caused huge fear in entire area of Chamoli district even as government has provided escorts for the school-going children.
In a startling incident early this morning at Pokhari hill area of Chamoli a bear lifted away a class VI student of Harishankar Junior High School child from his classroom and rushed toward the forest cover. However, promt action by school teachers and other students helped save child's life as the beast left him out of panic.
