Dehradun, March 9 -- The Uttarakhand government said on Monday that 2.55 lakh rural women have become Lakhpati Didis (sisters with income in lakhs) in rural areas as the state is trying hard to attract global investors through major policy changes.

According to the Dhami government, 22 consumer goods manufactured mainly in rural areas are being branded by it globally through its own 'local to global' policy.
