Agartala, Jan. 2 -- Former Uttarakhand MP Tarun Vijay arrived on Friday to meet the family of Anjel Chakma who died in a Dehradun-based hospital last week following an attack on December 9 along with his younger brother.
The MP's visit is being seen as a demonstration of Uttarakhand government's concern and sensitivity over the incident. The attack, allegedly fuelled by racial slurs directed at both Anjel and his brother, mockingly referred to as 'Chinese' by intoxicated offenders, has ignited protests and calls for justice across northeast.
