Dehradun, Nov. 14 -- Uttarakhand police succeeded in bringing back wanted fugitive Jagdish Punehta from United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the help of CBI and Interpol after more than six months of efforts with the assistance of International Police.
Punetha, wanted in several cases of cheating and criminal conspiracies, had been at large from India for more than four years and Red Corner notice against him was issued in May this year.
Uttarakhand home department informed on Friday that Punetha was arrested from United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday with the help of CBI and union Ministry of Home Affairs.
