Bareilly, June 26 -- Uttarakhand Education Minister Arvind Pandey's son Ankur Pandey and his friend were killed in a road accident in the Faridpur area of this district of Uttar Pradesh early Wednesday.
Police said the incident occurred when the car Ankur (22) was travelling in collided with a truck on NH 24 in Faridpur at around 0300 hrs.
He was on his way to Gorakhpur with some of his friends to attend a marriage. In the accident, one of his friend, whose brother was about to get married in Gorakhpur, was also killed.
Sources said that Ankur was critically injured in the accident and succumbed to his injury on way to the hospital.
