Dehradun, Nov. 15 -- The Uttarakhand government has asked Centre to provide the state expert advisors for developing border villages under its Vibrant Village Programme.

The government asked the authorities in the Centre to increase procurement of food items and other goods from border villages of the state and strengthen tourism there.

Demands for promoting more tourism in 50 villages, mainly along Indo-China border areas, were raised by state chief secretary Anand Bardhan in his series of meeting with union government authorities and departmental heads in Delhi on Friday.
