Dehradun, Nov. 15 -- The Uttarakhand government has decided to tighten security in its international border areas as it directed respective district magistrates to be more vigilant and increase surveillance in their areas.

Home Secretary Shailesh Bagoli today ordered district magistrates and Superintendents of Police across the state to increase vigilance in their respective areas with special focus on international borders.

Reviewing security in international border hill areas and the state in general, Bagoli asked the officials to increase surveillance in view of current security threats after Delhi car blast on November 10.
