Haldwani, Feb. 6 -- The men's football semi-finals at the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand were held in a high-powered atmosphere where the decisive victories of Kerala and Uttarakhand eventually led the two teams to the final.

Kerala saw a fiercely contested battle in the first semi-final against Assam. Both teams displayed exceptional defensive resilience, resulting in a goalless draw at the end of regulation time.

The game went to the penalty shootout, with Kerala pulling a 3-2 victory. Assam's Akhrang Narzary and Pranjal Bhumij had their penalties converted, while Kerala's lock Ajay Alex, Sachil Sunil C., and Brijesh T. Balan scored and booked themselves a place in the final.
