Lucknow, Dec. 24 -- The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council witnessed intense disruptions on Wednesday as members of the Samajwadi Party (SP) created a ruckus, entered the Well of the House, raised slogans, and staged a walkout over issues related to reservation and recruitment processes.

Reacting sharply, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya accused the SP of lacking the courage to hear the truth. He said the party had no real issues against the BJP and was resorting to baseless allegations. Maurya alleged that the SP had earlier nurtured "cheating mafias" and asserted that the BJP government had broken their backbone.
