Parmod KumarNew Delhi, March 26 -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday asked petitioners seeking security for the family of 27-year-old Tarun Butolia, who died in a violent clash during Holi celebrations in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, to approach the Delhi Police Commissioner with a representation.
Declining the CBI probe into the incident, a Bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice Vipul Pancholi noted that the Delhi Police was already investigating the incident. The Court observed that the grievance raised by the petitioners related to the protection and safety of the victim's family, which fell within the administrative domain of the local police.
