Uttam Kumar Reddy reaffirms 90 TMC allocation for Palamuru-Rangareddy project

Hyderabad, Dec. 29 -- Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday reiterated that the Congress government remains firmly committed to completing the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS) with its originally planned allocation of 90 TMC, dismissing allegations of any dilution in the project design.

Interacting informally with the media, the Minister said the government is strictly following the Government Order issued on August 18, 2022, during the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi regime, which itself proposed 90 TMC-45 TMC from savings in minor irrigation schemes and another 45 TMC from Telangana's share arising out of diversion of Godavari waters by Andhra Pradesh.
