UT of Puducherry records 286 new Coronavirus positive cases, 2 deaths in last 24 hrs

Puducherry, Sept. 28 -- As many as 286 more persons were tested positive for the Coronavirus while two patients died in the Union Territory since the last 24 hours,

There were 5,014 active cases ending at 10 AM on Monday.

According to the COVID 19 status released by the health department here, 248 new cases were reported in Puducherry region, 30 in Karaikal region, 7 in Yanam region and one in Mahe region.

As many as 508 persons were discharged during the last 24 hours. Of them, 405 were from Puducherry region,71 from Karaikal region, 31 from Yanam region and one from Mahe region.

One death each were reported in Puducherry and Karaikal regions.
