Usmanabad station to be known as Dharashiv railway station

Mumbai, May 30 -- Following the decision of the Maharashtra government to rename Usmanabad as Dharashiv, the Indian Railways has changed the name of Usmanabad railway station to Dharashiv railway station.

The new station's name and code have been approved by the Indian Railways Conference Association, said Central Railway in release on Friday.

The station previously known as Usmanabad with the station code UMD has now been officially renamed as Dharashiv with the new station code DRSV, said the release.
