Chennai, Feb. 15 -- After a splendid show by the batters, USA bowlers rose to theoccasion to guide the team to a comfortable 31 run win over Namibia in their lastleague Group A match of the T20 World Cup at the MA Chidambaram Stadium herethis evening.
Earlier, USA, thanks to blistering half centuries by skipper and opener Monank Patel(52, 30 balls, 3x4, 1x6) and power hitting by Sanjay Krishnamurthi (68 not out, 33 balls,4x4, 6x6) helped USA to post 199 for four, its highest T20 total in the World Cups andthe second highest by an Associate Nation after Scotland's 207 for four against Italy afew days back.
