Washington, March 28 -- US House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday flatly rejected a Senate-passed bill that would have largely funded the Department of Homeland Security, saying the House GOP will advance its own plan, fully funding the agency.

Democrats, who are holding out for immigration reforms, have said that's a non-starter, meaning the DHS shutdown will likely extend further, CNN reported.
