Kodagu (Karnataka), April 22 -- A woman from the United States has alleged that she was sexually assaulted at a homestay in Kodagu district of Karnataka, prompting police to arrest two suspects, including a homestay worker and the property owner.
According to the complaint, the incident took place at a homestay in Kutta village. The accused worker, identified as Vrujesh Kumar, a native of Jharkhand, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the woman while working at the establishment.
Police said the homestay owner has also been booked for allegedly attempting to suppress the incident. He is accused of disconnecting WiFi services at the homestay for three days, which allegedly prevented the victim from contacting anyone during that period.
