Washington, March 27 -- US Vice-President JD Vance is set to take on a central role in Washington's efforts to end the war with Iran, emerging as the most likely contender for lead negotiator, provided formal peace talks with Tehran ever materialise, according to US and Israeli officials.
The move formalises Vance's growing involvement in diplomacy, and overall influence in the White House, as President Donald Trump also confirmed during a cabinet meeting that the Vance was working alongside special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner on working out the details of negotiations, according to Axios.
