Washington, April 16 -- The United States plans to reduce its military presence in Syria by withdrawing a portion of its 2,000 personnel and consolidating the remaining troops at fewer bases in the country, CBS News reported on Tuesday.

In February, US media reported that the Trump administration was developing plans to withdraw all American troops from Syria within a timeframe of 30 to 90 days.
