Washington, Nov. 13 -- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has urged for international action against Sudan's paramilitary group, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), and for a weapons embargo against the militia as well as freezing all its financial assets.

The State Secretary's comments came, following the surfacing of multiple reports, unanimously blaming the group for carrying out mass killings, and committing heinous atrocities in El-Fasher, reports BBC.

At the end of a G7 foreign ministers meeting in Canada, Rubio said the RSF had committed systematic atrocities, including murder, rape and sexual violence against civilians.
