Washington, July 1 -- The US Administration wants to conclude duty agreements with key partners in a phased process before July 9, when the 90-day pause authorized by President Donald Trump in reciprocal tariffs expires, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

There is uncertainty about whether Trump will stick to his deadline for the imposition of import duties, the report said.

On April 2, Trump signed an executive order that implemented reciprocal tariffs on imports from various countries. The base tariff rate was established at 10%, with higher rates applied to 57 countries based on the US trade deficit with each specific nation.
