Washington/Doha, Oct. 2 -- US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order obliging Washington to guarantee the security of Qatar - marking perhaps the strongest security assurance by the US to an Arab partner and non-NATO state.

Signed post Israel's controversial strike in Doha, the agreement has significant implications in shaping the dynamic of regional security in West Asia.
