Washington, March 22 -- The Trump administration has begun preliminary discussions for what the next phase of the West Asia conflict could entail, along with a possible diplomatic exchange with Iran, even as officials cautioned that diplomacy is likely to have little room, with fighting likely to continue and even intensify over the course of several more weeks.
As per Axios, citing sources close to the White House, US President Donald Trump had earlier said on Friday he was considering "winding down" the conflict, though US officials indicated they anticipate a further two to three weeks of military operations. In parallel, advisors have started laying the groundwork for negotiations should an opening emerge.
