Washington, April 25 -- The United States plans to hold talks on import tariffs with 15 "privileged" countries, including Switzerland, Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter said on Friday.
Keller-Sutter and Head of the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs Guy Parmelin have taken part in the spring session of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington.
"We are satisfied with the negotiations we have conducted. The US is planning talks and wants to find a solution [to the tariff issue] with a group of 15 countries, which I would call the privileged ones. Switzerland is part of this group," Keller-Sutter told the SRF broadcaster.
