New York, Aug. 29 -- Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina ended Emma Raducanu's US Open run in emphatic fashion, thrashing the Briton 6-1, 6-2 in just over an hour to enter the fourth round at Flushing Meadows for the first time in her career.

Playing with controlled aggression and supreme authority on serve, the 2022 Wimbledon champion dismantled Raducanu's resistance almost from the first game. Rybakina broke in the second game and consolidated with a series of aces, racing to a 3-0 lead inside 10 minutes.

Raducanu, who had dropped just six games across her opening two matches, looked overawed by the power and precision of the ninth seed. The first set was wrapped up 6-1 in just 24 minutes.
